J. Colby Williams
J. Colby Williams is an honor graduate of both the University of Arizona and Arizona State University. Regarded as one of Nevada's brightest legal minds, Mr. Williams is known as a particularly effective appellate lawyer.
Over the last decade, the Nevada Supreme Court has adopted arguments advanced by Mr. Williams in numerous precedent setting cases including, Arnoult adv. Yamaha Motor Co., U.S.A., 114 Nev. 233, 955 P.2d 661 (1998) (standard for admission of expert witness testimony in product liability cases); Beckwith adv. Dillard Department Stores, Inc., 115 Nev. 372, 989 P.2d 882 (1999) (punitive and emotional distress damages); Lubritz adv. Clark, 113 Nev. 1089, 944 P.2d 861 (1997) (application of fiduciary duty in closely held corporations); and Sullivan adv. Bongiovi, 122 Nev. 556, 138 P.3d 433 (2006) (punitive damages standard in professional defamation actions).

Mr. Williams is listed by Martindale-Hubbell in its Register of Preeminent Lawyers and has likewise been named to Woodward & White's Best Lawyers in America and has received the nationwide listing as a "Super Lawyer."
